Day 2- Little Rock to Amarillo

pb & j

I learned this move from Tyra

good Samaritan Samuel taking gas to a stranded biker

So, we made our exit from Sheridan, AR around 11 this (yesterday actually) morning and we've just settled down in Amarillo, TX..... at 1:45 am. What a long day. It was good though until that last stretch when i was consumed with the thought that if i was tired, then Sam must be super tired and that worried me. I am a worried if you didn't know, but i come by it honestly- thanks Mom. While driving I at least have the luxury of talking one the mobile or texting.... i know you shouldn't text and drive but.... at least i don't do it in traffic.
We stopped for lunch just before the last miles of Arkansas in a little town outside of Fort Smith. The locals seemed nice enough, but there were more flies there than any one town should have. One of the winged beast decided to become my travel companion and graced me with his presence for the nest 100 miles. Several times I tried to roll down the window and set him free, but each time, he avoided the vortex i had created and buzzed around the truck. I guess I should just be grateful, that for a short leg of the journey, I had company.
Anyway, driving across OK was beautiful. There were lots of huge clouds that every now and then showered us with drops of cooling water. They were the kind of clouds that you could to curl up on and read a book or take a nap. They stayed with us all day and made a beautiful backdrop for the field of windmills we gawked at for over an hour.
Ok, enough. I am rambling on and i'm sure you are tired or reading. I am going to bed!!
sweet dreams-
Jolie
