Day One: Holy Crap

So I learned some things today!

one: It is alot cooler in theory to ride a motorcycle cross country than it is to actually do it.

two: If you think your front tire is low, don't lean over because you might end up on the velcro a couple a feet away from a metal guard rail when you look up.

three: A small engine cover flapping in the wind can cause a pretty speed wabble at 80mph.

four: My motorcycle will go 158.1 miles before it runs out of petro (for Ewan) PLEASE NOTE: Be sure to NOT be in the left lane beside a tractor trailer truck, at this mileage, cause that would make for a heck of a first day.
Jolie is a good sport and a local in Memphis.
Newly engaged Zennia and Nate in their fancy pad. The first time I went to Alaska Nate was there. Actually the first time I traveled as a vagrant Nate was there. Boston.... News Years Eve for Phish, we did not get in the show.

Heck of a first day! Actually the shortest miles of everyday and we did not get to Arkansas until 8pm...... I am tired, sore, and ready to ride.

Day 1 Nashville to Little Rock

this may sound silly, but i had no idea i was going to be so emotional over leaving Cooper and Jack.... Ian, please take good care of my babies!!!
my boy sang a goodbye song for us.... so sweet
one last conversation with Stephen Kertis Chapman and we were offf
part one of the series "From My Window"

We packed up the truck, said goodbye to the babies and hit the road. Day 1 of 28 could have been less emotional but overall a good day- my nerves settled at around mile 220 and i was able to end the day peacefully. We stopped in Memphis and had lunch with some awesome peeps and then landed in Sheridan, AR to visit with family. tomorrow....amarillo (not by morning)
